Luxor and Aswan are famed for their sunny weather with blue, cloudless skies almost all year round. The sun is perhaps the most important of these natural features, of course, symbolizing not only life but the energy and continuity that gave our brand from it’s natural properties.
Cultural Significance
The sun was at the very center of Egyptian myth and everyday life, linked to the gods and seen as a source of vitality, strength and power. Connected to the sun and often associated with the god Ra, gold was seen as divine and royal, and was the mark of wealth, power and eternal life.

Logo Elements
Sun Rays:
In the logo, the sun rays symbolize the clear and warm sunshine in Luxor and Aswan the brightest country in the world, as it gives life to the brand and shines it. The rays flying out of the center exemplify the majestic and influential Sun that dominated these regions.
Gold Color:
The ship is made of gold to symbolize the golden sunlight that shines on Luxor and Aswan. It symbolizes luxury, too, as well as wealth and luxury goods, as well as Egypt itself with its glorious ancient past all very much in line with the overall premium positioning of the brand.
Burgundy Color:
The Burgundy color of the background foreshadows the high quality of wood the Royal Elite cruise ships are made of. Being a dark version of the original color brings depth and personality to the logo and raises associations of quality and elegance.
Cruise Element:
The dominant shape of the logo is designed to trigger the mental image of a Nile cruise ship, subtly embedding the central service into the design. This bit too is very Egyptian in feeling, and the style of architecture here could be seen as a homage to the region’s history and cultural heritage.
